You Asked, I’m Answering: A Moment of Transparency

I am pissed right.

Not sure whether to kick, scream or cry; maybe I should do all of them.

I’m sooooo over hearing the the same old narrative: black man dead. what can I do? nothing is done. repeat. this hurts. my heart aches.

As a wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie, friend, and human I empathize with the families affected by senseless diabolical murder at the hands (or knees) of people who have chosen to protect and serve.

There are so many feelings running through me but I think the one that is the most prominent in this moment is exhaustion. When something (or someone) hurts you over and over and over… you just get tired.

This podcast episode is not a vent session. It is a delve into a repeated question and some alternative options for white people who want to know what they can do.

George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery — Remember their names.
