On April 14th, I was featured as a guest blogger on Aliwazas.com. Aliwaza’s seeks to renormalize alternative self-care by engaging people regardless or race, color, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, etc. They believe that through encouraging women to take a more active role in their mental, physical and spiritual health, they are doing a small part in healing the world. Something I have observed about perfection is it has the capability of keeping us in a place of negativity. How so you ask? Because we are constantly feeling bad about not being ‘perfect.’ Constantly feeling as though we are inadequate because we have not reached this state of perfection. Hence, always falling short. And stressed. Irritated. Frustrated. Depressed.
